Pharmacy Services

To have your prescriptions filled following your doctor visit, just let your nurse or physician know. They will have your prescriptions sent directly to your preferred Marshall Pharmacy location.

Once you set up your account and choose your preferred Marshall Pharmacy location, you can message the pharmacy, refill RXs, set reminders to take meds and view health information.

In addition to in-store pick-up, we offer the following convenient options:

• MEDS by MAIL:  New or refilled prescriptions mailed directly to your home.
• MEDS to BEDS:  Prescriptions delivered to your hospital bedside. Just let a pharmacy technician or your nurse know that you would like Marshall Pharmacy to fill your discharge prescriptions.
• MED SYNC: For patients who take several medications and wish to reduce their number of visits to the pharmacy, our team can work with you and your doctors to fill your medications on the same day each month. Many of our customers who use Med Sync pair it with our Meds by Mail service.

Schedule an appointment with one of our pharmacists to learn more about the medications you are taking and how to best take them. These in-person sessions occur in private consultation rooms located within our Marshall University Medical Center location.

Marshall Pharmacy offers flu shots, pneumonia, shingles, DTap and other vaccines.

Save on Prescriptions

With the CHHRx Program, individuals with income below the 200% federal poverty level will receive discounted pricing on prescriptions. 

Who benefits?

• Uninsured or underinsured
• Those with a Medicare coverage gap
• Those who have a medical hardship or need copay assistance
• Those who require specialty drugs with large copays 

What type of discount will I receive?
If approved, patients will pay a discounted price and $10 fee per prescription.

Who is covered by the discount card?
The cardholder and all household members will receive discounts.

Where can I use the card?
The card can be used at any Marshall Pharmacy location.

How long do I have to wait to receive discounts? 
Patient discounts are effective immediately upon program approval. Patients then have seven days to provide proof of income (e.g. W2, most recent tax return or most recent three pay stubs). If proof of income is not provided, the discount card will expire at the end of the seven days. If proper verification is provided, the card is valid for one year. Patients should apply for participation annually.

This program is administered by Marshall Pharmacy, in collaboration with Cabell Huntington Hospital. 

We encourage patients to dispose of expired, unwanted or unused medication safely. Use the medication take-back kiosk located inside our Marshall University Medical Center location, open 365 days a year. 

We accept:
Over-the-counter medications, prescription drugs and controlled prescription drugs (schedules 2-5)

We do NOT accept:
Flammable liquids, illegal drugs (e.g. heroin, cocaine, ecstasy, marijuana), medical waste, mercury thermometers, inhalers, sharps (e.g. needles, syringes, scalpels, lancets)

This service is available to everyone. You do not need to be a customer of the Marshall Pharmacy to use this service.

Marshall Pharmacy participates in the HALO Program, an initiative of participating healthcare professionals who provide immediate, in-person assistance to individuals seeking substance use disorder treatment.
