N. Andrew Vaughan, MD, MBA

Vaughan, a board-certified, fellowship-trained cardiologist, is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine, with a subspecialty certification in cardiovascular disease, and the American Society of Echocardiography.  He earned his medical degree from West Virginia University in Morgantown, before completing a residency in internal medicine at Charleston Area Medical Center in Charleston. Vaughan’s advanced training includes a cardiology fellowship at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He has more than 30 years of experience in cardiology care, specializing in non-invasive, preventive and general cardiology. Vaughan’s practice also places a special emphasis on nutrition as it relates to heart disease and heart health, and he is a Certified Culinary Medicine Specialist from the Goldring Center for Culinary Medicine at Tulane University in New Orleans.

Gary J. Petty, MD
Primary Care

Petty earned his medical degree in 1992 at Marshall University, where he also completed his family medicine residency. He is certified by the American Board of Family Medicine. He specializes in primary care for all ages, international medicine and tropical medicine. Following residency, Petty went into family practice in northern West Virginia, first in Piedmont, West Virginia, then in the Marietta, Ohio/Parkersburg, West Virginia, area, where he practiced for nearly 19 years.

Dharampreet Singh, MD

Singh is a neurologist specializing in epilepsy, multiple sclerosis and stroke care. He earned his medical degree from the University of Cincinnati College of Medicine in Cincinnati, Ohio. He then completed an adult neurology residency at Stony Brook University Hospital in Stony Brook, New York. He is a member of the American Academy of Neurology and the American Medical Association.

Alexander T. Caughran, MD
Total Joint Replacement

Caughran, a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon, earned his medical degree from the University of Tennessee Health Science Center in Memphis, Tennessee. He completed an orthopaedic residency at the Joan C. Edwards School of Medicine, followed by a joint preservation and replacement fellowship at the Rubin Institute for Advanced Orthopaedics in Baltimore, Maryland. His clinical interests include hip and knee injuries, joint replacement, minimally invasive surgery and revision hip and knee reconstruction.

Thomas C. Emmer, MD
Orthopaedic Trauma

Emmer, a fellowship-trained orthopaedic surgeon,  earned his medical degree from Northeastern Ohio Medical University in Rootstown, Ohio. He completed an orthopaedic surgery residency at Marshall University, followed by an orthopaedic trauma fellowship at Grant Medical Center in Columbus, Ohio. He specializes in orthopaedic trauma and the treatment of soft tissue injuries and fractures, including complications that may occur during bone healing following a fracture and limb reconstruction.

Patick is a pediatrician dedicated to primary care for infants and children. A native of South Charleston, West Virginia, she earned her medical degree from Marshall University, where she also completed her pediatric residency. She is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics.

Amjad H. Alwaal, MD
General Urology

Alwaal, a fellowship-trained general urologist, specializes in reconstructive urology including urethral stricture disease, prosthetics and trauma, male infertility, erectile dysfunction, male urinary incontinence and other benign diseases of the prostate. He is certified by the American Board of Urology. He earned his medical degree from King Abdulaziz University in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, before completing a residency in urology at McGill University in Montreal. Alwaal’s advanced training includes fellowships for clinical urology-erectile dysfunction, men’s health and genitourinary trauma and reconstructive surgery at the University of California, San Francisco, a world-renowned urology training center.
