Deborah Klimek, MD is a Pediatric Ophthalmologist and Associate Professor in the Department of Pediatrics at Marshall University. Dr. Klimek received her medical degree from the University of Minnesota School of Medicine where she also completed 1 year of Pediatric residency training. She went to Saint Louis University for her Ophthalmology residency and completed a fellowship in Pediatric Ophthalmology and adult strabismus at the University of Iowa. Her work has been published in many distinguished medical journals. She has been actively involved in clinical research with many other pediatric ophthalmologists in the United States through the Pediatric Eye Disease Investigator Group (PEDIG) since 2003. Her research interests include amblyopia (lazy eye) and strabismus (eye misalignment disorders). Dr. Klimek is board certified in Ophthalmology and is a full member of the American Association for Pediatric Ophthalmology and Strabismus, a fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics, a fellow of the American Academy of Ophthalmology, and a member of the Alpha Omega Alpha Medical Honor Society.
