Immigration exams are required for those applying for citizenship, seeking permanent residency or a green card. The purpose of the medical exam is to evaluate the applicant's health status. Marshall Health has the only two physicians in the area certified by United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS).

The immigration exam includes:

• A physical exam and health history intake
• Tuberculosis (TB) test
• Blood test for syphilis and gonorrhea, depending on the age of the patient
• CDC-recommended immunizations, specific to the patient's age
